This course will introduce students to the field of political ecology with a specific focus on how it can help us understand contemporary forms of environmentalism.

This course will focus on anthropological studies and perspectives related to environmental issues. Students will gain familiarity with current academic debates and new theoretical approaches to nature, environmental rights, and environmental justice issues.
